VMOBIL Radbox: A safe place to store your bicycle right at the railway station

Cyclists need safe and convenient places to store their bicycles so that they can switch to bus and train services quickly and easily.

Do you want to use your new e-bike or favourite bicycle to get from home to the railway station and leave it there the whole day until you return in the evening without having to worry about it? With your personal VMOBIL Radbox at the railway station, your favourite bicycles are safe and secure.

VMOBIL Radbox units are easy-to-use, locked bicycle storage facilities that provide ideal protection for your bicycle against vandalism, theft and the elements. Each unit is a single box and can be booked on the spot or for the day, week or year in advance at vmobil.at/radbox. It can be opened with your VMOBIL Klimaticket / Klimaticket Österreich or a four-digit PIN code. The high-quality bicycle storage units, equipped with free e-bike charger, lighting and storage space for helmets and rainwear, are located directly at the railway station, serving as a perfect interface between bicycle, bus and train.

The VMOBIL Lab rental bicycle in Lustenau and Dornbirn

The new VMOBIL Lab rental bicycle provides you with a quick and convenient way of getting from the Lustenau railway station to work, the shops or other destinations and back. Your rental bicycle can be collected at the VMOBIL Radbox facilities at the Lustenau railway station (Hagstraße and Bahngasse) and Dornbirn railway station (Poststraße). Making use of bicycles and public transport in combination is being increasingly promoted in Vorarlberg, with more services being regularly added. Radbox facilities are currently available at the following locations:

  • Altach railway station, 80 Radbox units
  • Dornbirn railway station, 48 Radbox units
  • Hard-Fußach railway station, south side, 16 Radbox units
  • Feldkirch railway station, 60 Radbox units
  • Hohenems railway station, 32 Radbox units
  • Lauterach railway station, 30 Radbox units
  • Lauterach-Unterfeld railway station, 24 Radbox units
  • Lochau-Hörbranz railway station, 40 Radbox units
  • Ludesch railway station, 32 Radbox units
  • Lustenau railway station, 60 Radbox units
  • Rankweil railway station, 52 Radbox units
  • Schlins-Beschling railway station, 46 Radbox units
     

A great deal of security for very little money

  • Fee for one day: EUR 1.80
  • Fee for one week: EUR 6.20
  • Fee for one year: EUR 89 (upper level) and EUR 99 (lower level): this means that your own personal VMOBIL Radbox can cost you as little as 24 cents per day when booked for a year.

How to register and book

1. For holders of a VMOBIL Klimaticket / Klimaticket Österreich who would like to use this as their Radbox unit key:

  • Log in to your VMOBIL customer portal or register at vmobil.at/kundenportal
  • Add the VMOBIL Radbox module.
  • You can now see the “Book VMOBIL Radbox now” option. Clicking here takes you automatically to the VMOBIL Radbox booking platform
  • Book your VMOBIL Radbox unit for your chosen period of time: for a day, a week or a year. You can open and close your VMOBIL Radbox unit using your VMOBIL Klimaticket / Klimaticket Österreich as often as you want during the period booked.

 

2. For customers with and without a VMOBIL Klimaticket who would like to use a PIN code for their Radbox unit:

  • Customers who do not have a VMOBIL Klimaticket should register on the booking platform. 
  • Book your VMOBIL Radbox unit for your chosen period of time: for a day, a week or a year. 
  • You will receive a four-digit code by email, which  you can then use to open your VMOBIL Radbox unit. You can open and close your VMOBIL Radbox unit as often as you want during the booked period.
